The UK Conference of Chinese Medicine 2024 – student vision board initiative

Calling all student members! To celebrate The UK Conference of Chinese Medicine 2024, the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) and the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine (RCHM) are giving students the opportunity to have their voices and aspirations heard in a very special creative webinar!

The theme of this year’s conference is Yi – Intention. By finding common purpose through communicating our visions to each other, we can bring a clearer form to the future we want to create. This is your chance to make your voice heard and help shape the future of this great medicine in the UK.

Using the power of technology we are inviting all BAAB accredited acupuncture and EHTPA accredited Chinese herbal medicine courses to join us for an online webinar where they can mix with other students, discuss their hopes for the future. Those ideas will then inspire large, creative vision board posters which will be displayed at this year’s conference.

What to expect

· Help shape the future of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine in the UK

· Come together with your classmates in a fun, creative project

· Split up into small groups to talk through visions for the future

This webinar is one of three opportunities for students to be involved in the conference and to also have their voices heard by members later in the year. All students who take part and would like to come to the conference will be put into a draw with the chance of winning free day passes to the conference. Read more in our latest blog post.

Who will be there

To start you will hear from RCHM CEO, and webinar host, Alex Jacobs and BAcC Governing Board member Sarah Major to give you an overview of this initiative. Then, conference speaker and BAcC Member Rev Deb Connor will introduce a vision board making process and lead us all in some creative exercises.
