The UK Conference of Chinese Medicine 2024 – booking your conference accommodation

This year we’ve changed the style of venue, which means we don’t have accommodation available on site. However, Manchester has a plethora of different options available to you. The city is also extremely well connected, with excellent bus, tram and train routes available to get you to and from the venue. There are also car parks close to the venue if you prefer to book accommodation a little further out and drive to the conference.

We have partnered with Meet Manchester to help you find some good deals and set up an accommodation matching service for members. Please see below for further details along with some other suggestions for websites to aid your search.

There are no requirements for you to book via any of the services or links below, these are simply options for you to consider. Booking your preferred accommodation is completely up to you and we suggest you research best availability before making a booking.

Meet Manchester
Meet Manchester, a branch of the Manchester Convention Bureau, have curated a platform of local hotels, which offer you the best rates available. We continue to work with them as they seek other offers for you, so you might see more hotels added from time to time.

Unlike other booking platforms, these rates will remain the same price until the discounted offer ends on Saturday 1 June or rooms sell out, whichever comes first. All bookings come with breakfast included and payment is not required until check-in, which means you don’t need to pay for your conference ticket and accommodation all at once. If you’d like to pay sooner, please use the Meet Manchester contact details on the platform to make arrangements.

All queries related to booking via this platform are dealt with via a personal service from the Meet Manchester staff. Their contact details can be found on the platform.

Other options to consider
We do not have any association with the below booking platforms, they are purely listed for information as suggestions for other options to consider, but there will be other options available too:

Accommodation matching service
The conference is more than attending great lectures; it is an opportunity to get to know each other better and feel more connected to our wider community. Therefore, the BAcC and RCHM are pleased to launch an accommodation matching service for the conference, which will enable members to make new connections, while also offering a cost-effective accommodation option. This service is for BAcC and RCHM Members only.

If you live in or near Manchester and you would like to host a fellow member for the weekend, we will connect you with someone who is looking for accommodation and vice versa.

We have created a platform where you can submit a request for accommodation or offer to host. Once submitted, our team will connect you with a potential host or guest. For member reassurance we will only match members of the same sex together and all information submitted is confidential and adheres to GDPR regulations.

This is a free member service and is wholly voluntary on either end. Please note that there are likely to be a limited number of hosts offers so we cannot guarantee that all requests will find a match. Guests and hosts will be matched up on a first come, first served basis so put your request in early to have the best chance of success.

Once a match is made, and both parties have made contact, members will take personal responsibility after that point. Although, if either party wishes to cancel the arrangement for any reason, the matching service would be happy to make this communication.

Closing date: Wednesday 1 May

If you would like to host a guest for the conference, please find further details here.
