• The British Acupuncture Council only admits acupuncturists who have had three year degree-level training or equivalent that meets the stringent standards of the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board (BAAB). These standards are regularly kept up to date and prioritise your care and safety.
• This standard represents the most in-depth training in the tradition and wisdom of Chinese medicine in the UK, enabling BAcC acupuncturists to tailor their treatments to your individual needs with highly effective results.

BAcC members are the only acupuncturists in the UK who are members of a Professional Standards Authority accredited register

• The Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care (PSA) is the official independent body which accredits the quality of voluntary regulation of healthcare bodies in the UK.
• The PSA reports directly to parliament.
• The PSA accredited register quality mark is the gold standard evidence that the BAcC is committed to protecting the public, implements good practice and upholds all nine standards of the PSA. These standards include how the organisation sets standards of training, safety and ethics and how it enforces these and regulates its members.
• The BAcC has met these standards since 2013.
