The BAcC is recruiting for two new positions:
Member Communications Officer and Public Relations Officer
We recruiting are for two part-time communications roles (14-21 hours/week) to join the BAcC staff team.
The post-holders will report to the CEO. These are hybrid working positions with the majority of the work conducted online working from home, and occasional travel for in-person meetings in London and to events and stakeholders around the country.
As a strong passion for and understanding of acupuncture is a key asset to the role, BAcC Member or BAcC Student acupuncturists who have a background in communications are desirable. However, applications from all candidates will be considered.
The successful candidates will have proven experience in a communications role, and experience as a member of, or working within, a healthcare or membership organisation. They will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with members, colleagues, and external stakeholders. They will be capable of both leading projects and of working collaboratively as part of smaller and larger teams.
They will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. They will enjoy writing and will focus a significant part of their time producing and editing a range of content – including social posts, blogs, news articles, website copy and targeted/direct emails – for different audiences and channels.
The successful applicants will be able to work with a variety of forms of digital media and have an understanding as to how to elevate and improve the profile of the BAcC and its membership through digital means.
These are both roles which will have varied tasks, so will suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can multi-task and work on several different projects at once, and who is also comfortable managing their own priorities and workflows.
