RCHM webinar on herbal medicines law: part one

Continuing the close collaboration between the RCHM and the BAcC, the RCHM is kindly offering free access to this upcoming webinar series on herbal medicines law. This is a unique opportunity to find answers to your questions about the law around the practice of herbal medicine in the UK including:

 – your basic legal right to practice
 – an overview of all the most important pieces of legislation and relevant bodies and organisations
 – banned and restricted herbs
 – history of legislation and statutory regulation
 – foods vs food supplements vs herbal medicines

…and much more. If you practice herbs or are thinking about training, this is an ideal chance to make sure that you know how to keep your practice legal and safe. You will also learn about the important work that the RCHM and EHTPA do behind the scenes to reassure government bodies, protect our pharmacopeia and keep the sector going.

Chris Etheridge is the chair of the EHTPA (and the College of Practitioners of Phytotherapy). Alex Jacobs is the president of the RCHM and is also an EHTPA council member. Over their respective tenures, they have had to deal with many of these legal issues first hand and become familiar enough with the law to make difficult decisions, so this is a unique opportunity to hear from two herbal medicine advocates who have worked on the front line with the law.

There is no need to pre-register. Please arrive five minutes early because after you click on the zoom link, it will ask you to fill out a very short form.
