NHS commissioning webinar
In April 2021 the NICE published the recommendation for the use of acupuncture in chronic pain. Members will recognise that there is an opportunity to develop provision of acupuncture within primary care.
We have agreed to work collaboratively with two other acupuncture organisations to support the establishment of acupuncture projects linked to NHS commissioning groups with the intent to bring in our traditional training. We understand that some but not all members may be interested in working within the tight structure of the NHS or working with the other organisations who have signed this letter of intent. We see this as an important step for further recognition of our members’ status and professionalism within government and the NHS.
