ARRC Symposium and The BAcC Annual Conference

We’re thrilled to be launching our first in-person conferences since 2019! This year the ARRC Symposium and The BAcC Annual Conference will be combined to make a three-day event, taking place at Yarnfield Park Training and Conference Centre.

The theme for 2022 is Meeting Points. From the theory of Chinese medicine we have jiāohuìxué 交会穴 the meeting points of two or more meridians. There are also the bāmài jiāohuìxué 八脉交会穴 the meeting points of the eight extraordinary vessels and the bāhuìxué 八会穴 the eight meeting-hui points. We can also think about a meeting point in a wider sense; the clinic is a space for practitioner and patients to meet, the moment we meet someone and get a sense of their presence, their qìchâng 气场, is a meeting point. Something expressed by one person and understood by another is a meeting point, which in itself can be therapeutic. Where and when the fingers touch the pulse are meeting points. The conference is a meeting point. After two years of the pandemic, it will be wonderful to have the chance to meet in person again!

We’re currently working on curating and finalising the programmes for both events and are excited to announce our first speakers. Once we’ve confirmed all our speakers we’ll be confirming the full line-up and timings. It will consist of a mixture of in-depth presentations, round table discussions and more movement and wellbeing classes than we’ve had before.
